Indie music is in style. What do you get when you mix Independent artists free from traditional record labels and DIY album recordings of today’s most popular music? You get an awesome wedding playlist that is super unique.
This has been one of my favorite playlist styles to build out because Indie music is such a broad category. It’s almost a label that gets away without having any specifics attached.
More specifically, the covers I chose for this week had a indie/folk vibe to them, but with songs that any guest would recognize and get a kick out of.
As always, scan through the list, I hope you enjoy it. If you are filling out your planning forms, be sure to write down and add any of the songs that you want during your wedding dinner.
Honestly, this one is a broad recommendation. Anything except dance time is great. These types of covers can be used for a mellow and original first dance, guest arrival music during a ceremony, or cocktail/dinner hours. The only thing it won’t do is get your crowd dancing later on. As with any great genre, a little can go a long way, so be sure to mix and match when planning your wedding music.
Without further ado, your playlist awaits.
As always, Spotify kills it as a music organization system and discovery tool. You really should give their app a try. To learn more just click here.
Planning a wedding can be stressful, but I hope this playlist relaxed you and maybe even gave you some cool options for your more mellow wedding day moments.
